Dr Anthony Bared has a background in plastic surgery, with over 15 years as a surgeon.
He trained as a head & neck surgeon and now also specialises in hair restoration. He concentrates on just these few areas, so that he can develop and perfect his craft.
Dr Bared stresses the importance of communication to manage expectations. He also conducts follow ups after hair transplant surgery, seeing his patients back for upto a year afterwards, and how this may mean that travelling internationally for treatment can lead to less reliable, or even unsatisfactory long term results.
We also discuss over- harvesting the donor areas, and how aggressive procedures are not beneficial long term.
He shares how the surgery can necessitate a certain level of artistry, including considering the angulation and depth of each individual hair follicle for the most natural look.
The use of PRP to support the hair growth and expedite healing is also shared.
